Battery Grip BG-E20, which is dedicated to EOS 5D Mark IV, can accommodates two LP-E6N/LP-E6 batteries for high-volume shooting. It also works as a vertical grip for more comfortable camera operation at vertical orientation. In addition to a shutter release, multi-function buttons, a main dial and a Multi-Controller, a new AF Area Selection button is added for more consistent vertical shooting experience as if doing it horizontally. The conventional electrical contacts on the battery magazine are eliminated and the inserted batteries are now directly connected to the battery grip main unit to reduce the number of contacts and thus improve reliability. Rigid magnesium alloy construction with improved dust and water resistant design is incorporated#.
