Using Rear Drop-in Filters with EF Lenses
- Allows the convenient use of Circular Polarizing filter or Variable ND filter with special EF lenses such as Fisheye Lens, Ultra-wide Angle Lenses, Large Aperture Telephoto Lenses or TS-E Lenses, which installation of front filter is difficult
- Allows the use of one set of filters to accommodate shooting with EF and EF-S lens of various filter diameters
- Supports all functions of all existing EF and EF-S lenses1 including autofocus and Image Stabilization
- Exterior design is consistent with the EF lenses as well as the EOS R series camera
Drop-in Circular Polarizing Filter A
Drop-in Circular Polarizing Filter A comes with a dial for adjusting the polarizing angle when installed.
Drop-in Variable ND filter A
- Drop-in Variable ND filter A comes with a dial for adjusting the density of the ND filter between ND3 to ND500 of light reduction2, equivalent to 1.5 and 9 stops of shutter speed
- The variable ND filter is also useful for movie shooting
Drop-in Clear Filter A (Optional)
Clear filter for use when Drop-In Circular Polarizing Filter A or Drop-In Variable ND Filter A are not needed.3

Metallic mount on both lens and camera sides for robustness and durability.
Dust and water-resistant Design4
Drop-in Filter Mount Adapter EF-EOS R features dust-and-water-resistant design4 to meet professional requirement.
1 Excludes EF-M lenses and CN-E lenses. Some functions of EF lenses may not be supported due to camera specifications.
2 Blue tinge or density irregularity may occur while using the Variable ND Filter at adjustment of ND250 and above, marked by the end of the white line on the dial of the adapter. The effect could be reduced using Auto White Balance during shoot and colour correction after shoot, using Canon Digital Photo Professional software. *blue tinge is where the image looks more blue

4 With Dust-and-water-resistant EOS R series camera and EF L Lens with dust-and-water-resistant design. However, It is not recommended for use under rain.
