This third generation f/2.8 telephoto zoom lens with newly added ASC (Air Sphere Coating) anti-reflection technology has an improvement in suppressing flare and ghosting which can avoid the negative impact on image quality especially shooting into back-light. It is designed for professional photographers and advanced amateurs. It also features the renowned 23 elements in 19 groups optical design utilizing one fluorite and five UD lens elements, image stabilizer for better handheld shooting, Fluorine coating for easier self-maintenance and dust-and-water-resistance design for challenging lighting conditions.
