A lightweight, compact EF-S standard zoom lens designed for photo and video shooting. It uses 1 aspherical lens to correct lens aberration. With a Stepping Motor (STM), it delivers smooth and quiet continuous AF^ during Live View and movie shooting when used with compatible EOS Cameras. The optical Image Stabilizer (IS) which offers shake compensation up to 4-stop* shutter speed and the inner focusing design that facilitates the use of filters make the lens ideal for beginners.
