Extender EF 1.4x III can multiply a lens' focal length# by 1.4x. A very useful telephoto tool for professionals and advanced amateurs as it extends the reach of lens instantly. The 7 elements in 3 groups optical design, when used with the new-generation large-aperture telephoto and super telephoto L lenses†, can vastly minimize chromatic aberration and color blurring around subject edges that commonly caused by magnification to ensure high quality images. A microcomputer is added to ensure accurate data transmission between the lens and the camera. When used with the new-generation telephoto and super telephoto L lenses†, more precise autofocusing can be achieved. An enhanced barrel design, a dust and water resistance construction▲ and the application of fluorine coating to the fore and rear lens surfaces to repel water and oil effectively can ensure robust and reliable performance even in adverse environments.
