Rain Cover ERC-R5L
Made of soft materials such as acrylic and nylon with high water repellency, the Rain Cover ERC-R5Lprovides protection against water for prolonged shooting in the rain. It attaches to the camera accessory shoe and has front hook and loop fasteners for securing the Rain Cover ERC-R5L on the lens. A large transparent window over the viewfinder area allows a clear view of the top and rear display panels and LCD monitor.

Large Transparent Window
Rain Cover ERC-R5L features a large transparent window over the viewfinder area, which allows user to look at the display panels on the top of the camera and the LCD monitor as well as the controls on the rear. This allows better access and control even when out shooting in the rain and also offers protection from splashes when shooting water sports.
Compatible Lenses
Rain Cover ERC-R5L is designed to fit all EOS R System cameras and it is approximately 1,039mm (length) x 900mm (width) in size. It is compatible with lenses of 150mm or more* in diameter and up to 660mm in length. These are some of the compatible lenses:
- RF Lens
RF400mm F2.8 L IS USM, RF600mm F4 L IS USM, RF800mm F5.6 L IS USM, RF1200mm F8 L IS USM, etc. - EF Lens (with Mount Adapter EF-EOS R)
EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x#, EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III USM, EF 500mm f/4L IS II USM, EF 600mm f/4L IS III USM, EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM, etc.
* When using lens hood, it can be attached if the diameter of the lens hood is approx. 150mm or more.

Restrictions of Rain Cover ERC-R5L
- You cannot look directly through the viewfinder and take pictures, and the rain cover does not support functions that require looking directly through the viewfinder.
- Eye control is not available.
- Functions that use the viewfinder sensor are not supported.
- The recording time may be shorter compared to when the Rain Cover is not in use during movie recording. In addition, the time required to recover from heat restrictions may be extended.
- The camera's built-in flash cannot be used.
- Accessories that are attached to the accessory shoe cannot be used.
- Remote controllers that use infrared light cannot be used.
- The four corners of the viewfinder field of view may be difficult to see.
- The status of various camera and accessory lamps such as the self-timer lamp and the tally lamp, etc. may not be visible.
- It may be difficult to receive GPS signals.
- It may be difficult to transmit and receive radio waves for wireless communication.
- The automatic adjustment function for the LCD Monitor brightness may not work properly.
