RF 15-30mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM
A compact full frame ultra-wide angle zoom lens weighs only 390g and provides focal length covering from 15mm ultra-wide angle to 30mm wide angle, an ideal choice for travel, landscape, cityscapes and architectures. The lens incorporates 1 PMo aspherical lens and 2 UD lens to minimize lens aberration and chromatic aberration, which enhance the overall image quality. Its optical Image Stabilizer offers up to 5.5-stop shake compensation2 and up to 7-stop3 when paired with EOS R-series camera with In-Body Image Stabilization. The lens also provides 0.52x magnification with 0.128m minimum focus distance at 15mm focal length with manual focus.

Compact Full Frame Ultra Wide-angle Zoom Lens
The compact and lightweight RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM weighs only 390g and provides focal length from 15mm ultra-wide angle to 30mm wide angle which close to human eyes angle of view. Its 15mm ultra-wide angle focal length covers around 110o angle of view, allows to capture a wider view than 24mm focal length of standard zoom kit lens, also enables taking shots in confined space. This provides flexibility for users to cover a wide variety of photography topics, like landscape, cityscapes and architectures. When it is paired with RF24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM and RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM, 15mm to 400mm focal length can be covered with just 3 lenses, an ideal combination for travel photography.

The newly developed 13 elements in 11 groups optical design of RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM incorporates 2 UD lenses to correct chromatic aberration throughout the zoom range and reduce color blurring, plus 1 PMo aspherical lens for high image quality at a compact lens size1. Taking the advantage of RF Mount’s large diameter and short back focus, a large-diameter lens is located at the rear to achieve higher image quality on the overall image area throughout the zoom range.

High Speed AF
RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM is equipped with a leadscrew-type Stepping Motor (STM) and a rear focus system to provide quick and smooth AF for still images and video shooting.
5.5-stop Optical Image Stabilizer 2
The lens optical image stabilizer offers up to 5.5-stop shake compensation2 to facilitate handheld shooting with a slower shutter speed. When used with the EOS R series cameras equipped with In-Body Image Stabilization, a stunning 7-stop shake compensation3 can be achieved with Coordinated Control IS.

1Multiple exposure shooting is not supported when using with EOS R5/R6/R/Ra/RP, it is also not possible to shoot multiple exposures with another lens using images shot with this lens. The lens distortion correction on the camera is set to [Enable] automatically when in use.
