The versatile RF-S18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM, designed for EOS R camera with APS-C sized sensor, provides a focal length equivalent to 29-240mm in 35mm full frame format which satisfy the need for a wide variety of topics. The lens only measures 84.5mm in length at its wide-angle end and weights 310g, making it a perfect choice for travel lovers to capture extraordinary shots during the trip. Its 18mm wide-angle focal length is ideal for scenic landscapes and cityscapes; while its 150mm telephoto focal length is ideal for capturing portraits, close-up scenes and events.

0.44x Magnification

RF-S18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM provides up to impressive 0.44x magnification at 50mm and minimum focusing distance at 0.17m (at 18-35mm) with auto focus, enable users to capture details of subject.

“Centre Focus Macro” function brings 0.59x magnification

When switching to manual focus, the minimum focusing distance can be further shortened to 0.12m (at 18-24mm) and up to 0.59x magnification close-up shooting at 35mm focal length.  User can get even closer to small object and create impressive close-up shots with clear image in the center and gradually soften into a beautiful bokeh in the periphery.

High Speed AF

RF-S18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM is equipped with a leadscrew-type Stepping Motor (STM) and a rear focus system to provide quick and smooth AF for still images and video shooting.

Image Stabilizer

The lens optical image stabilizer offers up to 4.5-stop shake compensation¹ to facilitate handheld shooting with a slower shutter speed. When used with the EOS R series cameras equipped with In-Body Image Stabilization, a stunning 7.0-stop shake compensation² is achieved through coordinate control IS.

[Note for “Center Focus Macro”]

• To enable Center Focus Macro: Set the Focus Mode to [MF] in the menu, switch the focus mode with “Focus Mode Switch” (for EOS R7/R10 only), and turn the focus ring to the closest focus distance direction at the 18-35mm wide-angle end to enter 0.44-0.59x close-up range. (Enabling the "Focus Distance Display" is recommended to assist shooting, 0.44-0.59x close-up range is appeared as the grey range on the left end of the Focus Distance Display)
• To exit Center Focus Macro: To restore autofocus, manually turn the focus ring to infinity direction. When the focus position is within the AF range, set the Focus Mode to [AF] in menu. Please note that if the focus position is maintained at 0.44x-0.59x close-up range, the menu will not show the Focus Mode option.
• Since the image quality maybe be lower than shooting with AF supported range, checking the image after shooting is recommended. Aberrations and image drift may occur around the periphery of the screen
• Detection precision of the focus guide function (Not applicable to EOS RP) decreases. It is recommended to use the viewfinder or the LCD monitor's magnification function to adjust the focus
• It is not possible to use Center Focus Macro by remote shooting from a PC or smartphone using EOS Utility or Camera Connect
