RF24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM, weighs only 395g and measures just 88.8mm in length, is particularly suitable for those who love shooting with lighter equipment.
Excellent Image Quality
Taking the advantage of RF Mount’s large diameter and short back focus, the 13 elements in 11 group optical design of RF24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM features a PMo aspherical lens and a large-diameter lens at the rear to achieve higher image quality on the overall image area.
EOS RP • ISO 100 • 1/6s • f/4 • 24mm
Impressive Close-Up Capability
0.4x Magnification
The lens features 0.4x maximum magnification and 0.34m minimum focusing distance at 105mm, capable to fill-in the frame when taking a close-up shot of a business-card-sized object.
EOS RP • ISO 100 • 0.3s • f/7.1 • 105mm
“Centre Focus Macro” function brings 0.5x magnification
When switching to manual focus, the minimum focusing distance at the lens’ 24mm wide-end can be further shortened to 0.13m for 0.5x magnification close-up shooting, enabling users to get even closer to small object and create impressive close-up shots with clear image in the center and gradually soften into a beautiful bokeh in the periphery.
EOS RP • ISO 100 • 1/10s • f/4 • 24mm
High Speed AF
RF24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM is equipped with a leadscrew-type Stepping Motor (STM) and a rear focus system to provide quick and smooth AF for still images and video shooting. Full-time manual focus is also supported.
5-stop Optical Image Stabilizer 1
The lens optical image stabilizer offers up to 5-stop shake compensation1 to facilitate handheld shooting with a slower shutter speed. When used with the EOS R series cameras equipped with In-Body Image Stabilization, a stunning 8-stop shake compensation2 is achieved.

Focus/Control Ring
"Focus/Control Ring" design with a “Focus/Control Selector Switch” for easy switching between Full-time manual focusing and Control Ring operation such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO speed or exposure compensation adjustment.
Metallic Lens Mount
The use of metallic lens mount ensures durability of the lens.
Lens Hood EW-73D (Optional)
The optional petal-shape Lens Hood EW-73D further enhances flare resistance.

[Note for RF24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM]
- To use this lens with EOS R, EOS Ra or EOS RP, please download the latest version of firmware from Canon website and install on your camera
- To display or edit images shot with this lens, it requires compatible camera applications. Please download the latest Digital Photo Professional from the Canon website. Please download Digital Photo Professional Express from App Store.
- Multiple exposure shooting is not supported when using with EOS R5/R6/R/Ra/RP, it is also not possible to shoot multiple exposures with another lens using images shot with this lens.
- The lens distortion correction on the camera is set to [Enable] automatically when in use.
[Note for “Center Focus Macro”]
- To enable Center Focus Macro: Set the Focus Mode to [MF] in the menu, switch the [Focus / Control Selector Switch] on the lens to [FOCUS], and turn the focus ring to the closest focus distance direction at the 24mm wide-angle end to enter 0.5x close-up range. (Enabling the "Focus Distance Display" is recommended to assist shooting, 0.5x close-up range is appeared as the grey range on the left end of the Focus Distance Display)
- To exit Center Focus Macro: To restore autofocus, manually turn the focus ring to infinity direction. When the focus position is within the AF range, set the Focus Mode to [AF] in menu. Please note that if the focus position is maintained at 0.5x close-up range, the menu will not show the Focus Mode option.
- Since the image quality maybe be lower than shooting with AF supported range, checking the image after shooting is recommended. Aberrations and image drift may occur around the periphery of the screen
- Detection precision of the focus guide function (Not applicable to EOS RP) decreases. It is recommended to use the viewfinder or the LCD monitor's magnification function to adjust the focus
- It is not possible to use Center Focus Macro by remote shooting from a PC or smartphone using EOS Utility or Camera Connect
