With its feature to minimize camera shake at slower shutter speed during ultra-wide angle range shooting, EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM helps users to ensure image quality in many different scenarios, such as indoor shooting where a tripod or flash is not available, or shooting in dark scenes with lower ISO speed to suppress the overall noise level. For handheld landscape photography, the image stabilizer can also enable user to use a smaller aperture with slower shutter speed in order to capture the depth of the entire subject as well.
