The compact entry mirrorless camera EOS R100 weights 356g only and features the advanced RF Lens Mount1, a 24.1MP Canon APS-C CMOS sensor and DIGIC 8 image processor, providing a burst rate of up to 6.5 frames per second2 and movie recording at 4K UHD 25p/23.98p3. EOS R100 also equipped with Dual Pixel CMOS AF with high precision eye detection and subject tracking even when whole body is in the frame. Combining these features with easy control, EOS R100 is an ideal starting point for entry users who would like to explore the world of RF Lenses.
Note: Incompatible with RF5.2mm F2.8 L DUAL FISHEYE, RF85mm F1.2 L USM DS, Extender RF1.4x and Extender RF2x. The control ring of the Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R does not work with this camera.

RF Lens Mount & 24.1MP APS-C CMOS Sensor
EOS R100 features the advanced RF Lens Mount1, its large diameter mount and short back focus, offering much greater freedom in lens design to realize outstanding quality.
Apart from wide range selection of RF and RF-S lenses, EOS R100 is also compatible with EF or EF-S lenses via Mount Adapter EF-EOS R.
EOS R100 is equipped with a 24.1MP APS-C size Canon CMOS and DIGIC 8 Image processor, realizing high image quality. Since EOS R100 has a larger sensor size than smartphones, it can capture images with natural bokeh and low noise and images look beautiful even when enlarged.
The standard ISO range of EOS R100 is ISO 100 to 12800, it can be further expanded to 25600, allowing users to capture clear images with less noise in low light situations. Images can also be taken with faster shutter speeds to minimize camera shake and subject blur.
High Precision AF
EOS R100 adopts the proven Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology in which all pixels of the image senor combines both AF and imaging capability. With this unique structure, AF is possible over a wide area of the focal plane.
EOS R100 provides wide AF area with a maximum 88% (H) x 100% (V) coverage4 and maximum 143 AF area zones during auto selection.
Eye Detection AF
EOS R100 also supports Eye Detection auto focus5, which operated even when the whole body is in the frame. Eye detection AF is available with Servo AF when shooting photos and Movie Servo AF when shooting movies. After detecting the eyes of a face, it continues to automatically focus on the eye.
Subject to Track
EOS R100 includes a new [Subject to Track] option under Custom Control, which allows user to switch AF frame to next detected face or eyes by pressing the customized button when AF method is set to [Face + Tracking], whether shooting with EVF or LCD.
6.5FPS Continuous Shooting
The EOS R100 is capable of continuous capture of up to 6.5 shots per second2 when set to One-Shot AF. This lets users capture those momentary changes in facial expression that are easy to miss. When set to Servo AF, the EOS R100 will shoot at up to 3.5 shots per second6.
Handy Shooting Functions
A+ Scene Intelligent Auto
In A+ Scene Intelligent Auto, the camera analyzes the scene and sets the optimum settings automatically.
User can change the ambience of the photo by changing settings such as “background blur,” “brightness,” and “saturation” with [Creative Assist] as easy as using a smartphone app.
Creative Filter
Add more fun to your photography with the Creative Filters in the EOS R100. You can choose from a variety of filters such as “Grainy Black and White”, “Water painting effect” or “Toy camera effect” effect during or after shooting, giving your images a more personalized style.
Silent Mode
With “Silent Mode” under Special Scene Mode(SCN), related settings can be changed or turned off all at once to prevent sound and light7 when taking photos. (The shutter system is automatically set to “Electronic Shutter”.)
This is useful for settings where sound and light are unwanted, such as performances or a sleeping child.
Hybrid Auto Mode
When Hybrid Auto mode is selected, each time a photo is taken, EOS R100 will automatically record approx. 2-4 seconds of video before the shot. These short clips are then compiled together with the images taken on the same day to make a Digest Movie. Since no special video editing skills is needed, it is easy to create beautiful and smooth movie, allowing users to take the first step in shooting movie.
Supports 4K UHD 25p/23.98p & FHD 50p/60p
EOS R100 supports recording of ultra high definition 4K UHD 25p/23.98p movie3, with movie recorded at four times the pixel counts of full HD, users can express themselves with greater realism.
Along with distinctive imaging utilizing ultra-wide angle, telephoto, and a variety of other lenses, users can enjoy taking movies with blurred backgrounds, shooting in dark settings, taking advantage of the unique features of EOS Movie.

Movie Digital IS
EOS R100's Movie Digital IS performs 5-axis correction (pitch axis, yaw axis, roll axis, horizontal direction, vertical direction) to produce natural images with minimized camera shake. Moreover, when an RF9/RF-S lens featuring Optical Image Stabilizer is attached to the camera, camera-shake blur can be reduced more effectively through coordinated control of Movie Digital IS and lens IS.
*When using Movie Digital IS, the shooting angle of view becomes narrower. The image also becomes enlarged, resulting in a lower resolution.

4K/FHD Timelapse
The EOS R100 supports 4K time-lapse movie10, which offers high-definition visual techniques with detail of cityscapes and nature that cannot be captured with full HD. Shooting in time-lapse is easy, with simple setup just by following the guide on the menu from the time-lapse setting screen.
Vertical Movie Shooting
Orientation information can be added during movie shooting, this allows movie shot vertically to be played in vertical orientation when viewing on a smartphone or other device.
0.39-inch 2.36M-dot OLED EVF
EOS R100 features a high precision 0.39-inch 2.36M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder with 0.95x magnification. Even entry users can now shoot with viewfinder. It offers clear visibility even in bright outdoors so users can concentrate on taking pictures.
EOS R100 also comes with a 3-inch high resolution 1.04M-dot LCD Monitor, which produces natural image display close to the sRGB color space.
Supports Remote Switch RS-60E3
EOS R100 adds an E3-type remote switch terminal, users can use wired Remote Switch RS-60E3 when shooting with tripod, such as capturing night scene.
Built-in Flash
EOS R100 comes with a built-in flash with Guide Number of 6 (m, ISO 100) and supports E-TTL II Flash Metering. It is ideal for shooting in dark places or with backlit scenes.
Highly compatible Hot Shoe
EOS R100 adopts a conventional 5-pin hot shoe, it is convenient for users to use Speedlite flash with conventional 5-pin design or the commercially available studio flash trigger directly.

Lens Compatibility Information：
