A compact and lightweight ultra-wide angle zoom lens designed for EOS R system APS-C cameras with a focal length equivalent to 16-29mm in 35mm full frame format, a perfect choice for travel, landscape, cityscapes and architectures. The lens weights only 150g and is 44.9mm long, making it easy to carry around or for vlogs shooting. The lens incorporates 1 PMo aspherical lens and 2 UD lens to minimize lens aberration and chromatic aberration for high image quality. Its optical Image Stabilizer offers up to 4.0-stop shake compensation1 and up to 6.0-stop2 shake compensation when paired with EOS R-series camera with In-Body Image Stabilization. The lens also provides a max. magnification of 0.23x and an impressive 0.5x magnification at 10mm when using manual focus.

Ultra-Compact Ultra-Wide Angle Zoom Lens
RF-S10-18mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM is an ultra-compact, ultra-wide angle zoom designed for APS-C EOS R cameras with a focal length equivalent to 16-29mm in 35mm full frame format. Its 16mm-equivalent ultra-wide angle focal length allows capturing a wider view than a standard zoom kit lens, also enables taking shots in confined space. This provides flexibility for users to cover a wide variety of photography topics, like landscape, cityscapes and architectures.
The 16mm-equivalent focal length also makes selfies easy by including the background in the same time, which is ideal for travel or vlogging.
The 29mm-equivalent focal length at the lens’ telephoto end provides a natural angle of view and perspective close to the human eye, making the lens also suitable for travel, food, pets and snapshots.

RF-S10-18mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM weights only 150g and is approximately 44.9mm long when retracted, making it easy to stow away in a bag or bring along on the go. Its lightweight also allows long period handheld shooting without fatigue during vlogging.
The lens features a lens barrel extension and retraction mechanism, which can extend the lens from stow to shooting position simply by turning the zoom ring without the need for an extra lock switch. This simplifies the lens operation.
Outstanding Image Quality
The lens incorporates a newly developed 12 elements in 10 groups optical design which takes advantage of the RF mount’s short back focus. An effectively placed PMo aspherical lenses has helped to achieve a high level of rendering capability and compactness while also minimizing the number of elements in the lens configuration. 2 UD lenses are also incorporated to correct chromatic aberration throughout the entire zoom range, thus delivering crisp and clear images with minimal color blurring.

High Speed AF
RF-S10-18mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM is equipped with a leadscrew-type Stepping Motor (STM) and a rear focus system to provide quick and smooth AF for both still images and video shooting.
Supports Focus Breathing Correction
When paired with EOS R-series cameras supporting Focus Breathing Correction, the changes in the angle of view caused by focus movement can be suppressed. It allows users to record natural movies with no discomfort even if focus is changed from foreground to background or vice-versa.
Built-in Optical Image Stabilizer
The lens optical image stabilizer offers up to 4.0-stop shake compensation1 to facilitate handheld shooting with a slower shutter speed.
When used with the EOS R series cameras equipped with In-Body Image Stabilization, a stunning 6.0-stop shake compensation2 is achieved through coordinate control IS.

Featuring "Focus/Control Ring"3 design which user can easily switching with camera’s menu between Full-time manual focusing and Control Ring operation such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO speed or exposure compensation adjustment.
Compatible with full-frame EOS R cameras
RF-S10-18mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM is also compatible with full-frame EOS R bodies, while mounted on a Full Frame EOS R-series camera, [1.6x (crop)] will be set automatically.
Compatible with Electronic full-time MF
The lens is compatible with Electronic full-time MF4, focus can be adjusted manually with focus ring anytime during ONE SHOT AF or SERVO AF.

- Multiple exposure shooting is not supported when using with EOS R5/R6/R/Ra/RP, it is also not possible to shoot multiple exposures with another lens using images shot with this lens.
